Founded in 2011 by Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – artistically named Lady Gaga – Haus Laboratories has previously launched two perfumes, but will soon be producing its own make-up products that will be available exclusively on Amazon, the BBC writes.
This will be the first cosmetics brand to debut at the e-commerce giant.
Under the agreement, the products will be available in September, starting in nine countries, such as the United States, Japan, and Germany.
In recent years, many new makeup brands have broken the traditional business model and started operating online instead of physical boutiques – such as Kylie Cosmetics, a beauty company owned by Kylie Jenner.
When asked about The Business of Fashion, Lady Gaga said she chose Amazon because the other companies wanted to align their vision with their already existing image.
“Let’s make an agreement and change the world with it,” the Oscar-winning composer added, adding that their new brand will be for everyone.
