I’ve been curious about Primark’s own-brand skincare and makeup for a while, so I decided to go on a big shopping spree. Unfortunately, my experience with the PS Golden Hour 9 Shade Eyeshadow Palette was a letdown.
First Impressions
At first glance, the palette looked promising. It offers a neutral, natural color selection, comes in a small, compact design, and is extremely cheap. But beyond the packaging, it delivers little else.
Formula & Application Issues
The colors are extremely pale and lack pigmentation. Even after multiple swipes and pressing the brush hard into the pan, the shades barely showed up on my skin. I attempted to use every color, hoping some might perform better, but the result was consistently poor.
Unexpected Reaction
The worst part? As I applied the shadows, my eyes started to burn and itch—something that has never happened to me before. I had to wash it off immediately, and shockingly, it came off effortlessly with just warm water, which says a lot about the lack of staying power.
Final Verdict
I expected a low-budget product, but there are plenty of affordable brands that still manage to deliver decent quality. Sadly, the PS Golden Hour Palette was a complete disappointment, from the poor pigmentation to the irritating formula. This is one product I definitely won’t be repurchasing.
